Academic Catalog August 2008 - August 2009 Undergraduate and Graduate
Online classes provide a wonderful opportunity to students who are unable to attend in-person classes or those who would like to benefit from the flexibility of fitting online classes into their lifestyle – anytime and anywhere.
Online class schedules work similarly to traditional classroom delivery formats. Instructors provide you with assignments, established deadlines and other requirements and you ‘attend’ class from your computer or a NAU computer lab whenever it complements your schedule.
Occasionally, online classes do require that you are logged into the class (for a discussion for example) at a specific time. These requirements are made clear to students early in the class.
Successful students who take online classes are those who can manage their time and are able to dedicate a certain amount of time each week to devote to their online classes.
