Special Activities

Our program is one of six in the nation to receive a yearly grant from the Scripps League Newspaper Education and Research Fund, which we use for student scholarships and special programs like NAUís High-School Journalism Workshop for Minority Students. Other support for this ten-day summer activity comes from the Dow Jones Newspaper Fund and the Hearst Minority Endowment.

With a special endowment from the late Mark Finley, our faculty members also conduct a humorous writing competition every year. In addition, we receive scholarship grants from a variety of sources, including the Readerís Digest Foundation.
