AWHE Mission

AWHE values quality leadership that is inclusive, diversity, teamwork, mentoring and collaboration with likeminded organizations. Our planning efforts and actions are based on these values and guiding principles because quality higher education governance is best practiced in a fair and equitable environment. In concert with the American Council on Education’s Women's Network, the Arizona Women in Higher Education (AWHE) Network is committed to improving the general climate and professional environment for women in Arizona's higher education systems. AWHE Woman of the Year

AWHE is committed to improving the general climate and professional environment for women by identifying and developing leadership, advancing, and connecting and supporting women in higher education throughout the State. AWHE will honor one exceptional woman at the summer conference luncheon where the recipient will be publicly recognized for her achievements. In accordance with our mission, AWHE wants to celebrate outstanding women. The AWHE executive board selects one winner each year. For more information about current and past winners visit our page.
