ABOUT AWHE CONFERENCE: In keeping with the mission of the ACE Women's Network and AWHE, this annual conference is a two-day professional development experience that brings together higher education professionals from across the state of Arizona. The conference will allow us to navigate the changing landscape of higher education. Together, we will learn from one another, discuss the critical issues impacting our work and our lives, expand our professional skills, and network with new and established colleagues.

VENUE: Surrounded by refreshing ponderosa pine forests with picture perfect skies, the High Country Conference Center in Flagstaff offers a wonderful place to gather for learning and networking. High Country has earned Silver Tier Sustainability accreditation by the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC). This rating ensures the highest level of quality and services, while successfully adhering to environmental and socially aware practices.

REGISTRATION: Open to everyone interested in advancing women in higher education, all attendees and workshop presenters must register for the annual conference. The registration fee for this year's conference is $250. Registration is now open at AWHE2019.EventBrite.com.

Required Attendee Registration: All individuals attending the conference must pay a registration fee. All workshop presenters must register and pay to attend the conference.

Substitutions: Substitutions are allowed by individuals within the same institution.

Cancellations: To cancel a registration and request a refund, a written request must be submitted.

AGENDA: A general conference schedule is available. Schedule of Activities. Workshop options will be available in mid-May.

MAJOR SPEAKERS: To be announced.

CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS: Whether you are an established professional or new to higher education, you have something to share with our community. Reflect on current issues impacting women in higher education, consider showcasing programs/initiatives that have had particular success on your campus, or simply expand on a personal or professional passion area so that others may learn from and with you during our time together.  The deadline to submit a workshop proposal will occur next winter. All workshop presenters must register and pay to attend the conference. First time filling out a conference workshop proposal? Here are some tips to help you.

LODGING: We will arrange a conference room block at the Drury Inn.  In the meantime, please visit the Flagstaff Convention and Visitors Bureau for additional lodging options and please feel free to make a reservation at an establishment that best meets your needs.
