Glenn Gehring

In 2003 Glenn began working occasionally with the Tribal Air Monitoring Support (TAMS) Center as a Tribal instructor while employed at the Inter-Tribal Environmental Council (ITEC), housed at Cherokee Nation. Glenn is a citizen of Cherokee Nation. He joined the TAMS team full-time as the Technology Specialist in 2005. Currently, he is located on the Umatilla Indian Reservation in northeast Oregon where he provides professional assistance and technical support for tribes located throughout the USA. In addition, he maintains TAMS air monitoring equipment for use in training and for loans to tribes. The CTUIR Tribes provide support for the TAMS equipment lab through a Memorandum of Understanding between EPA and the Tribes.

Prior to his work at TAMS Glenn worked in a variety of technical and professional positions including: Aircraft mechanics, agricultural research, pesticide research, environmental engineering (wastewater and water supply), environmental health and air quality. His degrees are in Aviation Maintenance Technology, Laboratory Science and Research, and Natural Resource Management.
