National Congress of American Indians passed a resolution requesting that the Dept. of Interior’s Climate Change Adaptation Initiative allocation to tribes be increased to a more equitable level, that the perspectives and needs of tribes be incorporated in the initiative and tribes be consulted an all aspects of the initiative, and that the initiative’s regional planning groups include representation from tribes.
