Date Published:

Description:
This best practices guide is designed to help EPA and tribal officials understand and take full advantage of the features and benefits of Performance Partnership Grants (PPGs), in which states and tribes may combine multiple environmental program grants into a single grant. PPGs are one of the cornerstones in the National Environmental Performance Partnership System (NEPPS) that serves as the framework for EPA-state-tribal relations. Through answers to frequently asked questions, the guide: • Explains how PPGs can help in achieving agreed-upon environmental and program goals and objectives; • Highlights key regulations, policies and procedures for developing and managing PPGs; and • Provides examples showing how PPGs have been used to achieve administrative efficiencies to direct resources where they are needed most.
