Title:
Tribal Emergency Response App

Description:
This presentation was delivered on August 17, 2017 at the Tribal Lands and Environment Forum by Frank Harjo, Muscogee (Creek) Nation. The Muscogee (Creek) Nation Geospatial Department received an EPA Exchange Network Grant to collaborate and work with other partner tribes to develop an Emergency Response Application. This application has a desktop and mobile component that is designed to document incidents within the field and assign resources to those incidents. Because tribal areas are located in rural locations, disconnected use and synchronization were important tools that were built into the application. Tribes can collaborate and share information across jurisdictions and can decide how that information is shared. This presentation covers how this open source software application can be used by others and a demonstration shows how the application works.
