The Eastern Michaud Flats Superfund Site is located near Pocatello, ID in two
counties on the Fort Hall Reservation. Mining and disposal activities were
conducted adjacent to the surface waters of the Snake River wetlands. The
community traditionally uses river waters and wetland areas for drinking water, cultural and ceremonial practices.
- The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes signed a MOU (2000) to help coordinate site
investigations and response actions on lands owned by the Tribe.
