Upcoming Meetings of the NAURA
SPRING LUNCHEON: Tuesday, April, 22, 2014 - Double Tree Woodlands Hotel.
As reported at the December 2012 holiday luncheon, we will continue to have our parking privileges as
they have been in the past. The following is an email than Erin Stam of University Parking
Services sent to David Best.
Thank you again for meeting with me. As we discussed, the current practice regarding retiree
permits seems to have improved the use and closed unintended loopholes. We will continue with the
current practice for next year. The language for the permit states:
To be eligible, the individual must be a member of the Retiree
Association and the "retiree" status confirmed in PeopleSoft. A retiree permit must be returned if the
permit is used for working more than 10 hours per week, teaching more than one class, or enrolling in
more than one class. An employee permit may then be purchased, as needed. If the permit is lost, the
retiree is responsible for the replacement cost. The bearer of a retiree permit may park in any employee
or commuter lot.
