Study of the visual arts develops students' skills of observation as they learn to examine the objects and events of their lives. At the same time, they grow in their ability to describe, interpret, appreciate, and
respond to the visual arts. This lesson will introduce the students to learning about another culture through art. It will also help students to interpret traditions and beliefs through sand paintings.
