Introduction
This unit incorporates science, math, language, and social skills. It also incorporates the four learning modalities: visual, language, auditory, and fine motor. The main objective of this lesion is to familiarize students with their surroundings. We live in the desert and its surroundings including its plant life, animals, climate, etc. is a factor in a student's culture. The prior knowledge that the students possess may help them to contribute to class discussions. The purpose of this lesson is to discuss and learn more about the animals that live around us. This lesson can also stand as a review of a habitat lesson.
