This document provides basic information on a range of cost effective renewable energy and efficiency practices with an emphasis on Alaska. This project was conceptualized as a resource for Tribes in Alaska and EPA Region 10, who are considering alternative energy sources as a way to lower their contributions to greenhouse gases and thus would be safeguarding the natural environment (air, water, and land upon which life depends) and protecting human health. There is also a need to provide cheaper energy in rural communities. 2012.
