Water Education

Community Events
The EEOP staff participates in community events, providing water information for community members and water activities for the youth. The Cabbages and Chemistry activities are very popular with the students.

Water Education and Outreach - COMMUNITY Events:

Two future hydrologists learn about pH through a hands-on activity from the Cabbages and Chemistry curriculum. The children enjoy all the cabbage juice color changes.
Budding scientists complete a data sheet on the pH of various household chemicals.
A young Hopi student participates in the Project WET activity called the "Incredible Journey." She is collecting beads to document her journey as a water molecule.
A Hopi elder advises the students to work hard in school and to learn about the importance of water in their culture.
