Downloadable Datasets
Dataset Name Description
We have taken US Forest Service aerial survey of tree mortality data and created shapefiles of biotic mortality by tree species for the four-corners states. Two versions of the shape files are available. One includes impacts from previous years, while the other has had these impact removed. All shapefiles include FGDC metadata. KML and jpg versions are also included.
Forest Inventory Analysis
We have created a customized version of the US Forest Service's Forest Inventory Analysis database. The USFS online version is quite "forester centric" while our version has been modified to permit more efficient querying of parameters of interest to ecologists. Survey site locations have bee dithered by 1km to protect landowner privacy. Access to this database is by special permission. Contact paul.heinrich@nau.edu for access.
This gridded data represents potential evapotranspiration calculations across decadal time-steps. Each zipped filename encodes the decade and the month of interest (1895-2004). METADATA (160MB download -7z compressed file) NOTE: Clicking on the link to the left will bring you to an FTP server. The User Name is direnet; the password is left blank. You will find this dataset in the PRISM_Products folder.
