Clean Air Act and Permitting (Level 2)

Course Description:
This course provides an understanding of the Clean Air Act (CAA) and tribal authority as the foundations for air quality permitting on tribal lands. There will also be a discussion on tribal involvement in permitting off-reservation sources. This course is a foundation for courses dealing with advanced topics related to permitting and air quality management, and also requires some background understanding of air quality management. There will be lectures and discussions with visual aids, as well as small-group activities. Some reading and writing will be assigned each evening during the course.
