This webinars introduces the EPA Sensible Steps to Healthier Schools Environments Series. The EPA webinars provides helpful information to
promote and support healthy school environments. The EPA webinars feature experts from the EPA, other federal, and non-federal programs.
This webinar will explain how participation in the EPA Sensible Steps webinar will benefit schools in Alaska. We will also be offering an
Alaska Schools Q&A after each EPA Sensible Steps webinar.

- Experiences in Alaska Schools
- Improved Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) can lead to improved academic performance of students
- Improved Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) leads to improved health of students and staff and lower absentee rates
- Balancing energy savings with good Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) can result in cost savings with small investments, especially in the colder Alaska climates.
- Although Alaska schools face unique climate challenges, the basic principles of Indoor Air Quality apply to Alaska Schools
- Alaska Specific Question and Answer session will follow each Sensible Steps webinar, lead by Mansel A Nelson and MaryAnn Porter.
