Short Internship Program (SIP)

Short Internship Program (SIP):
Native American college students can apply for the Short Internship Program (SIP). Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and placements are made regularly.

College Students:
College students will have the opportunity to spend 20 to 80 hours working on air quality or air quality-related issues impacting tribal nations. We prefer to place student interns close to home or school. The purpose of the internship is to expose students to a potential career opportunity.

Compensation:
Typically $500 for 40 hours of work.

Expectations:
Students are responsible for locating an internship site where they can complete their internship.

Interns are required to complete a final report and evaluations.

Application Process:
If you are interested in an internship, please send an email with your resume, a letter of interest and your host site contact to EEOP-INTERN@nau.edu

Your letter of interest must clearly state how this short internship opportunity will benefit you and your potential career. Please be sure to save your documents with your name listed in the file name. The title of your email should be Short Internship Application.
