Tribal Air Mentors Network
ITEP maintains a database of tribal professionals working with air quality issues. This database tracks air
program activities and expertise of a growing number of tribal professionals who are willing to help their
colleagues in Indian Country.
Do you have questions about setting up a new PM2.5 monitor? Are you looking for new ideas on convincing
tribal members to stop using burn barrels? Have you run into some problems trying to complete an EI?
Contact Lydia Scheer at Lydia.Scheer@nau.edu,
or 928/523-6887 and we will put you in touch with another tribal professional who has faced similar problems.
Do you have skills and experiences you would like to share with your colleagues in tribal air programs?
If so, we would like for you to consider becoming part of our Tribal Air Mentors Network. All you need to do
is contact Lydia Scheer at Lydia.Scheer@nau.edu
or 928/523-6887 with a description of your skills/expertise and the capacity in which you are available to
assist tribes (mentoring, direct training, remote assistance, etc.) By becoming a mentor to other tribal
professionals you will be able to share your strengths and knowledge with others throughout Indian Country.
It is an excellent opportunity to assist others engaged in the struggle to protect tribal air resources.
